Bill Eads graduated from the University of Virginia at the age of nineteen with a degree in English Literature.
After nine years as a Naval Aviator, 43 combat missions over North Vietnam and more than 300 carrier landings, he finished his career in aviation as a Boeing 747 Captain with United Airlines. His first book, When Flying Was Fun!, an autobiographical compilation of aviation anecdotes, was published in 2007. Lightning Flight! was published by FriesenPress in August, 2014.
