PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Lightning Flight!

A novel by Bill Eads

The war on terrorism is forever changed…

Mesquite, Nevada – 8 August 2014.  The President authorizes a non-conventional strike against an underground terrorist compound. The unanticipated result of this covert mission causes a chain reaction that threatens to impeach the President and brings the major military powers to the brink of World War III. Congressman Blake Ettington is sent to the Middle East to investigate. His team discovers an intricate plot to assassinate political leaders in America.

Lightning Flight! captures the reader’s desire for resolution. Thought-provoking and topical, the plot is relevant in today’s world, and plausible for the not-too-distant future.

About the Author: Bill Eads served as a Naval Aviator with forty-three missions over North Vietnam and retired as a Captain with United Airlines. The author has over 20,000 hours of flight time in planes ranging from single-engine strike fighters to the Boeing 747 jumbo jet. His first book, When Flying Was Fun!  was published in 2007 and is a collection of four decades of aviation anecdotes.

Looking forward to it. I'll push the throttle to the wall, drag my foot on the left rudder and get as much joy from reading your work as I do from a lift off in my Luscombe 8E.

I have read Bill Eads book, "Lightning Flight", and enjoyed it immensely. Once starting to read the story, it's difficult to put it down. If you do, you may be afraid to pick it up again because you feel you will detach yourself from the world. The drama through the tunnel reminded me of Indiana Jones. I had the sensation that if this story had been a Broadway play, that when the curtain dropped, the audience would have raised out of their seats while applauding and been yelling author, author! Having said that, I look forward to a possible upcoming sequel, maybe even a movie. I can just imagine the action.

Now that I re-read my original comment on Lighting Flight I noticed that I neglected to actually give the book a star rating, no doubt I'm sure those of you read or have read it, it's at the top of the list with

I'm on my way to Amazon to gift copies to friends in Alaska.
